PALS, an all-volunteer, non-profit, no-kill rescue group, is successful through the efforts of many different volunteers:
- Active rescue personnel serve Lynn, Salem, Swampscott, Peabody, Everett, Chelsea and surrounding areas. The rescuers respond to calls from the public about cats that are obviously stray or in need of help.
- Approximately 40 active volunteers work each day to clean cages, do the laundry, feed the cats, and socialize with the animals. Our volunteers are college students, professionals, mothers, retirees and local animal lovers, without whom PALS would not exist. If you are interested in volunteering your time to care for our cats, conduct adoptions, or to offer your expertise on a committee, please review our volunteer application.
- A Board of Directors oversee the daily operation of the shelter, volunteers, and foster network. The current Board includes (from left to right) Maryann Tapparo, Rachel Dougherty, Sheri Shattuck and KrisTina Wheeler.
